Currently we can see the results of these creative searches in textile stores. It is getting harder and harder to orientate in such an abundance.

Usually we choose those ones that catch an eye first and are of a reasonable price. And we even have no idea that a fluffy winter fabric is not woolen but a synthetic one. As well as we have no idea that such fabric provides nearly no heat and loses its form extremely fast.

Today there are fabrics on the market that do not withstand frequent washing, get stretched, rolled and lose their shape. Producers say that the industry is constantly evolving and experimenting, and one should sew one-season fashionable clothes from such fabrics, and get rid of them without thinking when the fashion passes off.

But still, there is some comforting news - you can find many quality fabrics on textile market. You can find high-class natural silk, which will not lose brightness after washing. But you should remember that it creases and it will not be too easy to iron it. 

Synthetic or natural fabrics?

Synthetic silk looks quaint, its price is lower than that of natural silk, it creases noticeably less, and withstands washing well. But there is a great difference between them. In 90s, the so-called "wet silk" of all shades and colors was brought from Egypt, Turkey, and Emirates.

Everyone bought it and sewed everything possible from it - whatever one could. But there was one problem everyone faced: it simply ripped at the seams. People had to underlay all this with interlining and that brought extra problems and troubles. Also, it was impossible to undo such seams. And the silk itself lost its original effect and luster from the bright sunshine. As the result you can not see a "wet silk" in the stores today, it simply could not compete with fabrics of higher quality.

In the new millennium, the era of stretch has begun. Now almost all the fabrics can be stretched, but it is not always acceptable. Such a fabric may accent the flaws of a figure. Getting folded, it turns a woman figure into a "caterpillar".

There is a lot of synthetic on textile market - polyamide, polyester, nylon,and acrylic fabrics. Those who have no contraindications may buy them with no doubt: they are relatively inexpensive, they are very easy to wash and do not need ironing. Especially those that are purposely made pressed. Only one thing does not suit us in such a fabric: often synthetic gets rolled quickly, and then you just regret you have spent energy working with this fabric. In practice, it happens that when a suit is being sewed, it already has the form as if it it's been worn for five years.

But there are synthetic fabrics that are wonderfully preserved for many years. You can find woolen fabrics or a mixture of wool and synthetics in the stores, but sometimes even the seller finds it difficult to tell you what the percentage of each component part in this fabric is. 

The genuine wool can sometimes be determined only during the process of work: the way it gets ironed and gives moisture away - genuine wool evaporates it for a long time. Clothes produced from such fabrics do not get rolled and are of a very good quality.

There are quite a lot of smart fabrics in retail establishments: velvet, satin, organza, supplex, chiffon, various nets, lavishly decorated with strasses, shining sprayings, appliques, embroidery, laces, and even holographic paints.
